Today I set up at a New Hampshire wedding expo to draw caricatures. The entertainment was diverse there- lots of wedding reception and party resources to be had. I really met a lot of amazing wedding vendors and saw many more that I have known from other expo events in the past.
This particular wedding expo was held at the Margate in Laconia, NH which is a wedding venue itself, so there was a tour of the facility where they gave brides, grooms and their families an on-site experience with their wedding ceremony and reception options.
It was cool to see all of the different DJ’s and photographers, limo services and event planners. Everyone had their own unique set up to try and catch brides as they strolled past their event booth.
I set up my caricature easel, of course, and offered free color caricatures to event go-ers, which was widely appreciated. Many people were excited to see that I offered free custom caricature paper branding and were surprised to hear that I could draw up to 20 caricatures an hour. These are just two of the unique selling points I have when I’m telling people about my caricature experience.
When I attend a wedding expo, it’s typically in New Hampshire, which is nice, because I am typically meeting event attendees who are interested in finding entertainment and other services for their New Hampshire wedding. It makes it convenient to have everything in one place. They even had a $1,000 raffle for one lucky bride to use at any event vendor of their choice to use toward their wedding.
